Blinds 2000 started as a small home-based business which has grown to become today's leading authority on all window dressings in the Hawke's Bay.
In 2003, Blinds 2000 established the first retail agency for Santa Fe Shutters. By 2005, the company had outgrown their site and commercial premises were obtained in the Onekawa Industrial area.
The appeal of our quality products continued necessitating the move to larger premises at 39 Wakefield St, Onekawa, Napier in 2015 where we are presently located. This move has allowed us to display a vast array of product in our pleasant showroom. Our new displays show off motorisation and systems for difficult windows. Pop in and meet the friendly team – we are open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.
JOHN
John is an expert on shutters and interior design. He has a strong background in wood, previously working as a log exporter and in property development. This interest continues today into interior design and shutters. He has travelled widely and draws from these experiences to provide realistic décor advice to customers. Living in an original Californian bungalow, his family enjoy the mix of traditional elements with contemporary design.
In previous years, John was the Forman for one of New Zealand's top racing stables, and was involved in travelling with horses to Australia and Japan. He also likes to sail and was a permanent member of a team who raced weekly in the Essex waters of England. Nowadays he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends, tramping and camping around New Zealand. He is still an outdoor enthusiast and is willing to give anything a go.

KELLY
Kelly works behind the scenes updating fabrics, catalogues and the showroom. She also meets with advertising/media companies to discuss best ways to reach our community so that Blinds 2000 can deliver a clear picture of our operation here in Hawke's Bay. Kelly says ‘she is proud to be a director and team member of Blinds 2000. We have a great team and a lovely customer base which makes coming to work each day a real pleasure.'
On a personal note, Kelly enjoys the outdoors with John, their children, friends and family. ‘I love a bit of adventure and travel when I can fit it in. It refreshes my mind and helps me appreciate what's really important in life.'
GAIL
Gail joined the team in 2007 and has the responsibility for the smooth running of the office and showroom. She has lived and travelled throughout the world and NZ and says, ‘Hawke's Bay is such a special place to live.'
CHRIS
Chris joined Blinds 2000 in 2012. Having renovated several properties, Chris understands the desire to achieve the right look to complement your home and the importance of providing the right solution to meet your needs. After 25 years behind a desk, Chris is really enjoying being out and about meeting people and working hard to provide the best possible service. In his spare time, Chris enjoys taking in everything that Hawke's Bay has to offer.
